Days Between Dates
Calculate exact days, weeks, months between any two dates
About this tool
This free days between dates calculator finds the exact number of days, weeks, months, and years between any two calendar dates. It also shows the business day count, excluding weekends, which is essential for project deadlines, legal contracts, and work scheduling. Select your start and end dates and the result appears instantly.
Common everyday uses: calculating how many days until a due date or project deadline, figuring out how many weeks pregnant you are (counting from the last menstrual period), determining the length of a rental agreement or lease, finding out how long until a subscription renews, or counting how many days of vacation you have used. Legal and financial contexts often require exact date differences — contract notice periods, statute of limitations deadlines, loan terms, and payment schedules all depend on precise day counts.
Leap years add a complexity that this calculator handles correctly — a year is a leap year if divisible by 4, except for century years which must be divisible by 400. So 2000 was a leap year, but 1900 was not. Between February 28 and March 1 can be either 1 or 2 days depending on the year. The calculator always accounts for the actual calendar.
Business days exclude Saturdays and Sundays. Public holidays are not excluded because they vary by country and region — for a business-day calculation that also excludes holidays, add the number of holidays in your date range to the result manually.
