Time Zone Converter
Convert times between any two IANA time zones instantly
About this tool
This free time zone converter translates a specific date and time from one IANA time zone to another. Pick any two time zones from the full IANA database (covering every country and territory), enter a date and time, and instantly see the equivalent local time in the target zone — with daylight saving time automatically applied.
Remote teams, international businesses, and global travelers use time zone converters constantly. Scheduling a Zoom call with someone in London when you are in Los Angeles? 9 AM PST is 5 PM GMT in winter but 6 PM BST in summer — DST shifts change the offset. Without a reliable converter, it is easy to miss meetings by an hour twice a year. This tool uses the IANA Time Zone Database, the gold standard used by operating systems, browsers, and programming languages worldwide.
Common US time zones: Eastern (ET/UTC−5 or UTC−4 in DST), Central (CT/UTC−6 or UTC−5), Mountain (MT/UTC−7 or UTC−6), Pacific (PT/UTC−8 or UTC−7), Alaska (UTC−9), Hawaii (UTC−10). The US observes DST from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November. Arizona (except Navajo Nation) and Hawaii do not observe DST.
International examples: the difference between New York (EST) and Tokyo (JST) is 14 hours in winter and 13 hours in summer. New York to London is 5 hours in winter, 4 in summer (because the UK switches DST on a different schedule). Australia switches DST in October-April (southern hemisphere), opposite to the US and Europe.
